We come to the end of another year and with that, our final newsletter of these past 12 months. We hope that everyone has been enjoying the new articles and reports that have been written since the re-launch of the website. Best Catalan Wine of 2019

What is now an annual adventure through all that was tasted in the last year from this northeast corner of Spain, we select a wine that stood out as being one of the best and most representative of its region. This year, we've added in five additional wines that are very much worth your wallet and your palate.

Corpinnat, going forward

A detailed look at this breakaway group forming the best producers that used to be in DO Cava at the start of this year. A fascinating turn of events as they work to forge a new identity as well as having a very interesting and engaging selection of wines. Anna Espelt's "Signature Series"

A new series of very personal wines released by the director of the Espelt winery up in DO Empordà. Some quite serious bottles here that represent an exceptional take on an under-appreciated region.

DO Rueda shakes things up

For anyone who knew the wines of Rueda as "fresh and pretty much based on Verdejo", the DO has released a great many changes to really take note of including new red grapes and an aged oxidized wine. Crazy stuff!
