And the hits just keep coming as toasting in the New Year certainly didn't burn off that scummy, lingering 2020 funk as shown in the US. Change is coming and none too soon.
Meanwhile, here in Spain we've just been pummeled by snow with some wine regions such as Priorat being hit hard. Don't worry, the vines should be fine as they're dormant and most people have already pruned them. The olive trees and my citruses in the back yard will probably be a different story, though...
Unfortunately the damage has been much worse for old buildings, as the lead article for this newsletter describes how one leading cellar in Priorat suffered massive devastation just this past Sunday.
Stay inside. Stay safe. Drink well my friends. Dry January be damned.
