Greetings,

Spring is almost here, which means we can all start dreaming of sunnier times! This is why I'm quite stoked to get a new report out on the wines of Hvar Island in Croatia. If you aren't familiar with this island, it's a gorgeous, sun-blessed slice of land in Croatia's Adriatic Coast that's making some quite fine wines these days.

I've been following these wines for well over a decade now and I have to say that they've never been in a better place and have wider distribution these days, so they're totally worth seeking out wherever you are based.

And if wanting to start your Croatian wine exploration sooner rather than later, join me and Ivana Carić, the president of the Hvar Wine Association this Sunday March 14th at 7PM Barcelona time (10AM SFO, 1PM NYC, 6PM LON) for an Instagram Live where we'll talk about all things Croatian and Hvar wine, the native grape varieties Plavac Mali, Bogdanuša, and whatever you might want to ask. Don't hesitate to jump in!

-Miquel
