Greetings,
Here we are in the 11th month of 2021 where everything around me is winding down in terms of harvest. As winter starts to grip us here in Priorat, it becomes that time of the year when the home has never felt more homey and everyone, especially the dogs, is fixated on central heat.
Of course in the US, Thanksgiving is just about to hit and by now, you're probably bored to tears of wine pairing articles for turkey day. I've seen far too many myself which is why I offer up this, the ultimate and forever guide to Thanksgiving wine, forever.
I'm also taking a look at an insane case of wine fraud in Spain and how we're just not ready for public wine tastings yet as things aren't terribly great in the course of the pandemic.
On a positive note, I also have a look at the superb sparkling wines coming from the Corpinnat group in the current regional report as well as how the winery of Vall Llach in Priorat is rebuilding after the snow destruction this past winter.
There are additional reviews of fine wines and fine books read below as well.
Take care and be well!
-Miquel
