‘Tis the season for the Hudin Top 100!
Everyone can read the entire list ordered by name and subscribers have access to the the full scores, tasting notes, and whopping 35 reports that have been released this year.
The selection for 2024 was one of the most difficult to compile as there were nearly 4,000 wines reviewed on the site and while the majority are from Spain, there are sizable numbers from France, Croatia, Slovenia, and even Moldova this year.
It’s never easy to choose from so many good wines in the world and to be completely honest, the selection started out as the “Hudin Top 200+” which was then meticulously slimmed down to the group you see here. Part of that process was only allowing one wine per winery (with one exception) and also capping the price at around 200€ otherwise things just get out of control, yes Burgundy, lookin’ at you.
For reference, the lowest-priced wine on the list somehow ended up being 8€ which goes to show that it’s much more about assembling an interesting, inviting list rather than slapping together the top-scoring wines. After all, subscribers have the access to see those whenever they want.
